What "job 0055" means
Job 0055 is the hand-packer job code — work that is paid (in part) on a
piece-rate basis. The math is cases packed × rate, and historically the
case count has lived in a spreadsheet or a hand-written tally that the
timekeeper later reconciles against the activity hours.
The risk in that handoff: the hours and the units can drift apart. If the link breaks, payroll either underpays the packer or overpays them, and the reconciliation is painful.
In the new app, job 0055 lights up a units field on the assignment editor, and the count is captured as part of the same save that records the activity. Same audit trail, same atomicity.
