Meet Maria

Maria has been at MTO for eight years. She knows Line 5 better than anyone: who works what station, who arrives late on Tuesdays, which jobs can absorb a short, and which absolutely cannot.

In the current process, she does most of this on a paper staffing sheet and hands it to timekeeping, who re-keys it into the system. If something doesn't match a punch, she finds out later — sometimes the next day — through a report or a hallway conversation.

In the new app, Maria enters her staffing decisions directly. The app checks her work against Kronos punches live, while she's still standing at her workstation. Errors get fixed in the same shift, not at the end of payroll week.
